Le terrecotte figurate dal Santuario delle Divinità Ctonie ad Agrigento: dalla produzione alla dedica votiva

To clarify the many aspects related to the production and circulation of figured terracottas in Greek sacred contexts, it is essential to bring to light the numerous unpublished finds. Specifically, the study of the figured terracottas from the sanctuary of the Chthonic Divinities in Agrigento is the subject of the author's PhD project, entitled "The figured terracottas from the sanctuary of the Chthonic Divinities in Agrigento: from production to votive dedication". The ongoing project at the University of Palermo will allow us to clarify some aspects related to the production of figured terracottas, supported by a systematic study of the votive offerings, also in relation to the discovery of numerous molds; on the other hand, to investigate the aspects related to the cult, for a better understanding of the sacred area.
