Information Structure of the Old Uyghur Language
This research will investigate information structure of the Old Uyghur language. Investigation of information structure reveals a lot that it has been neglected or not fully explained in linguistic. There are some studies on information structure of Turkic languages, yet most of them are concentrated on modern languages. There is hardly any overall discussions on the information structure of earlier stages of the Turkic languages. Study on information structure of Old Uyghur aims to deepen the understanding on how categories of information structure is represented andmarked in the language of Old Uyghur texts. It provides a systematic overview, description and investigation of the aspects that are related to information structure in the grammar of Old Uyghur.
