Our partners world-wide
The Berliner Antike-Kolleg (BAK) cooperates with research institutions worldwide. The network reaches from New York via Paris to Rome. In collaboration with the international partners, the goal is to develop new research questions and to promote the exchange of scholars.
The partner institutions share a broad perspective on the ancient world. The Institute for the Studies of the Ancient World (ISAW) is a research centre at New York University with projects that reach from the Mediterranean to East Asia.
There exists a close co-operation with the Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata in the field of ancient philosophy, whereas the focus of the collaboration with the Laboratoire d’excellence (Labex) Transfers d’École Normale Supérieure de Paris is on cultural transmissions since antiquity.
In addition, the Berlin Graduate School of Ancient Studies (BerGSAS) has agreements on doctoral student exchanges in place with prestigious universities abroad. These arrangements facilitate international networking among junior scholars.
