Friederike Herklotz studied Egyptology and Ancient History at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and at Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier. Her PhD thesis was on the cult of Octavian-Augustus in Egypt. From 2014 to 2018 she worked as Research Associate in the project "Medicine of the Mind, Philosophy of the Body. Discourses of Health and Well-Being in the Ancient World" (Head: Prof. Dr. Philip van der Eijk) at Institute of Classical Philology (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin). Since 2019 she has been working as Scientific Coordinator of August-Boeckh-Centre of Antiquity.
