The Berlin Graduate School of Ancient Studies is offering with fundings of the Einstein-Center Chronoi a workshop in collaboration with Anna Vogel (scientific illustrator).
In the two-day training workshop, participants are trained to draw archaeological objects for scientific documentation. The focus is on archaeological small finds for everyday life made of various materials. Both analogue and digital methods of documentary drawing will be imparted. First day will be about drawing with a pencil on paper. On the second day the drawings from the first day will be redrawn with Adobe Illustrator.
Some of the topics that will be covered throughout the workshop will include:
- drawing small finds with a pencil on paper
- working with Illustrator
- explanations on different drawing techniques
The course will take place in Berlin and is open for a maximum of 15 participants (only on registration). Active participation is free of charge.
At the end of the workshop the participants will gain a basic knowledge on drawing small finds.
